Mike Prendergast grew up in Virginia Beach and has been a resident for most of his life. He is married to his wife Mary and has two daughters: Lindsay and Carley. He graduated Frank W. Cox High School in 1982 and attended college in Georgia. Employed by Carter Machinery, Inc. since 1999, he is on the management team in the Power Systems Division.
Mike has served as a planning committee member and fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association’s annual Tour De Cure cycling event. He also participates in the annual MS150 cycling event to raise money for the National MS Society. He is an active member of the Propeller Club of Newport News, a Maritime Industrial organization that is engaged in fund-raising and distribution to local charities.
