The Foundation entered into a partnership with Spike’s K9 Fund, a non-profit organization founded by former special warfare operator James Hatch, which works with local law enforcement agencies to equip their K9 members with ballistic vests. Your donations will help accomplish this project. Through the generosity of Spike’s K9 Fund, individual citizens and business in the community, we have been able to outfit every VBPD K9 member with a ballistic vest. Fundraising for these vests will remain an on-going need, as they must be replaced periodically, as well as when a K9 member is retired.
