William J. “Bill” Brunke is the managing member of Brunke & Company, LLC. A public accounting firm located in Virginia Beach.
Bill served on the Virginia Beach City Public School Board from 2008-2014. He also served as Vice Chairman of the board from 2010-2014.
Currently Bill is a member of the Virginia Beach Development Authority, Virginia Beach Vision, Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation, and Virginia Beach Process Improvement Committee.
He was previously a member of the Virginia Beach Education Foundation, the Virginia Beach Community Services Board, the task force to develop a charter for the city auditor, the Beaches and Waterways Commission, the Pavilion Expansion Committee, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, the Together we Can Foundation, and the Virginia Beach Deferred Compensation Board. Brunke also served as Chairman on the Charter School Board of Directors for Green Run Collegiate.
Brunke is a graduate of Dominican College of Blauvelt, New York. He and his wife, Susan, are married 30 years and have two adult children, Meaghan and Taylor.
